Report Card Welcome Letter

Superintendent's Welcome Letter

Welcome to the Governor's Report Card for Martin County Schools! We hope you find this site helpful.

All information in the Report Card is the most recent available at the state level. The Report Card shows how fortunate we are to have good test scores and highly qualified teachers in Martin County.

North Carolina's school accountability program, the ABCs of Public Education, provides information about our schools. But, these numbers only tell part of the story. Other indicators of school quality are important to parents and community members. This annual school report card includes important information about the performance, student demographics, class sizes, teacher qualifications, and many other factors in the Martin County Schools.

In addition, we are proud of the programs and activities like P.T.O., tutoring, peer tutoring, athletics, clubs, academic awards, and scholarships.  These activities plus capable, dedicated teachers, and quality staff help make Martin County students successful.

Becoming involved in your child's school is one way to guarantee success in the classroom. Working together, we can be certain that we are Making a Difference.

The Martin County Board of Education is committed to ensuring that all students will be provided with a quality academic, technological and challenging education in a safe, orderly and productive environment in order that they may become a contributing member in the 21st century global society.

 Sincerely,

Ron Melchiorre

Superintendent
